Hi
A client has a jailbreak ios.which I understand is a modified ios.
When they tried to install a banking app it gave a warning not to continue.
I said not to install it.
Was I correct in saying this or would they app be safe to use?
Thanks

Banks do not allow installation on iPhones that are jailbroken or Android phones that are rooted, if they detect it.
The reason is it is not safe. You gave good advice.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

The problem with customised versions of iOS is that you have no idea what the person thats hacked the code has really done... sure you know you can now side load apps avoiding Apple's App Store and possibly able to use other Wallet apps etc which you cannot do on the official iOS but there could be other things going on that you dont know like key/screen logging, sharing your contact/address book details etc
Its certainly prudent to say not to install it simply because you cannot definitively say its safe.2
