It says it could save me 2100 to 2500 kWh of gas a year, for a four bedroom house. I'm not sure where they're getting those figures and if it is worth popping it in

The company is:

It's just an extremely expensive flow reduction valve.

You end up using less water in the same time, so use less gas to heat it up.  Assuming you don't just use things for longer.

You can get various water saving products free including flow reducers through your local water company here https://www.getwaterfit.co.uk/

I would personally never get involved with any supplier who isn't transparent with the pricing on their website.
The only price I can see mentioned is the fixed installation charge .

It is £195 incl VAT to have Control Flow products fitted to your home.  The price is fixed whether you 1 product (Meter Save or Mains Save) or multiple devices (Inline, Showersmart or Connect.)

Our engineer will advise which product to fit in your home to maximise the savings that you can achieve.

If the quality of service is as good as the grammar in the above statement then I would be worried!!

Presumably the idea is that you use less water so less hot water so spend less on gas heating the hot water.

Yup. That's why I asked here. I did think surely this is seriously overpriced

THe same as fitting a low flow shower head for £20

.....or putting a pressure reducing washer in between the hose and your existing shower head, at no cost to many as water companies often give them out for free.

Indeed, they are dirt cheap (under £5 - not allowed to post a link here ) and work very well.  I fitted a 9 litre/minute one to our shower (to pass Building Regs when I built the house).  When I removed it to get the shower up to full beans our hot water energy usage rose by about 20%!
