My point Kimmywal is that I will offer tickets to friends away from the internet who are less likely to let me down, it was afterall a 13 year old daughter of another comper that they ultimately let down, why should I be expected by zflr to offer my prizes? Who is he to expect me to offer him my prize?

I don't have that many thanks but that's because every time I find a comp it's already been posted! I don't know what happened before but really, was all the extra info necessary? I think not. If you want to make a point maybe do it by PM?

Maybe it wasnt necessary I admit, but that still doesnt mean that I should be expected to give my prize to MSErs irrespective.

I know you may say I don't deserve an opinion as I've got so few thanks under my belt/been here for five minutes/just deserve the stuff under your toenails (perhaps you should be more hygenic?..I'll get you foot scrub/pedicure set for christmas;) ) but I think its just a downright mean way of saying what you did in the first post.

1. Congratulations on your win.

2. Nowhere does it say you HAVE to offer your win to a fellow MSE'. Don't think anyone EXPECTS you to give your winnings to other MSEs. Get over yourself

3. Saying I've won but none of you can have it because some MSE who shall not be named..blah blah blah blah blah.... you could have just said I won tickets and since I can't go my friend will get to go, yay! or words to that effect. zlfr only said what, I'd assume, most people were thinking after your little rant.

4. treating other people like garbage because you post lots of comps on here...where do you get off? fantastic christmas spirit that.

5. And this is the most important one: thanks to people like kipper, hjb, cheekychicken, nondsondu et al who keep posting comps and sharing without holding a grudge against those who don't post. You folks deserve lots and lots of luck (not just at christmas) for your generosity without strings.

I'm a bit hesitant to post as don't want to keep bumping this thread. All I will say is ryan, not sure what you mean about arguing with you 3 times - I disagreed with comments you made in another thread, where I thought you were being unnecessarily aggressive. I really can't recall ever even posting another time on a thread of yours.

I genuinely wasn't looking for an opportunity to have a go at you. I just don't want other people to feel that they have to post comps just to be part of this forum. This board has a real community spirit and I don't want to lose that.

Ok fair enough, and thanks for your comments. Although the point I was trying to make to the original reply (cant remember posters name) is that I had been made to feel selfish for not offering my prize when in fact I have been anything but selfish to people on this forum as I always post comps that I see and have in fact offered a prize before. So yes I agree that people should not be made to think that they have to post, Im sorry if I gave that impression, but at the same time I was offended by his suggestion that I couldnt tell people that I had won a prize on the basis that I wasnt offering it to people, I wasnt trying to offend anybody by that comment I was purely being honest with my reasoning.

Thanks for posting the competition though Chickaroonee, it looks like there have been several winners.

Please re-read - it means that YOU have won something that YOU cannot go to & YOU will not be offering it to anyone else on the forum.

I don’t expect you to offer your prize, why should I it is yours to do with as you will.

I just find it strange that you post a message saying YOU have won, YOU can’t go & neither can any of the other people on the forum because one of them has upset you in the past. Just post to say you have won & you have a friend who is going in your place.

When i posted i hadnt given it to a friend, i edited my post after finding somebody to go. I didnt have to post that, and you didnt have to respond in a sarcastic manner, since this post was on the third page when you responded I will take it that you would like me to respond accordingly rather than letting the subject die. I dont even know you pal so just jog along and enter some comps, I dont care what everybody else says about people who dont contribute not being welcome, I will speak my mind and stick by my opinion that somebody with 80something thanks in two years has used other peoples generosity without giving back so I will not justify or apologise to you. I dont care if that is controversial but it bugs me.

I will just add to that, by quoting yourself with the ommission of the offending section does not in any way endear you to me further. Irrespective of the general consensus that I am wrong, I still think that you are the rude one. I will stick by my ethos completely.
