Billhop Replacement

Has anyone found an alternative to Billhop which shuts operations for UK customers this week?
Billhop enabled credit card payments to be made to businesses that didn't accept credit cards and was very useful.
I can not find an alternative - there is a major gap in the market for a company to offer this.

Reading about this, they charge around 3% on each transaction which someone has to pay. As a customer why would I want to increase the price paying this way? If the trader doesn't accept cards in the normal way it is presumably because they don't want to pay fees and reduce the sum they receive.I'm finding it hard to see an advantage for either buyer or seller with this. Why did it appeal to you Emma? I don't think it would provide any Section 75 protection for the customer as Billhop is an intermediary in the transaction.1

Is GoCardless any use? I don't know anything about it from a business perspective, but I have a couple of DDs in their favour, for organisations which don't directly accept these. Don't know if they do more than regular DDs, however.
Also it is now much easier for small businesses to be set up to accept cards, so whatever put you off doing so, have you checked what's available since you last made the decision?Signature removed for peace of mind1
