Alternative to Dyson Blade?

Tasked with swapping a failed Blade (the V-shaped type) and find they cost upwards of £500 - gulp. Some good 2nd-hand and refurbished ones from around £200 (slightly smaller gulp), so I was wondering if there's a credible alternative to the Dyson?

Same effective air blast. Similar reliability.
