British gas account legacy adjustment
Does anyone know what this is on a bill? I've been with BG for a while. They are moving over one to this new system so on there it says I am in debit £300+. But It says I have a legacy account adjustment which is £625 in credit. So does this mean the credit I'd accrued on the old system hasn't moved to the new system? I'm so confused!

I've had exactly the same problem & struggling to get any help from BG. They've added a Legacy Account Adjustment of £250 as a debit on my account. Now I'm being told my direct debit is going up from £180 to £220. I'm on disability benefits & can only just afford the current amount. Been trying to get answers from British Gas but after 10mins of searching & waiting for virtual chat to connect, the website says 'we're having technical issues!'. To me, because I've been on their site for a while each time I try, they know I'm going to complain, so the AI program switches to the excuse to put me off complaining 😂 Wouldn't surprise me at all 🤔
