The policy I want is being quoted around £140, but with top Cashback, does this mean it becomes practically half price/free?

Depends what offers you are seeing and its terms.

Looking now as a non-member they are offering £68 cash back on a £140 premium excluding European options so assuming you aren't buying European cover you are able to get it for just over half price assuming it tracks etc. A long way from being free

Read the terms but certainly they are advertising that it will for Extra and Complete cover.

Naturally there is always a question if 50% off is real if its available to all new business for 51.5 weeks of the year etc.

martin_54 is a disgruntled customer, looking at the post history. I never had a problem with them.

I used TopCashback last year for AA membership - had to buy literally everything which ran up well over £200 I think to earn a cashback of about £100 (can’t recall exact figures) Didn’t receive cashback for some months though.
Without that cashback I would never have given a second thought to paying that much for membership. Have previously been with Driver Guardian who charge around £85 for full UK and Europe cover and will likely return to them on renewal

ELSIEN.                                                                                                                                                                                So  would  you  if  you  had to   wait  on  a  grass  verge  3 hours  for  the  rac to  get  to me,  and  a further  81/2 hours   for  the recovery  truck  to  pick me  up.

Wouldn't touch the RAC or the AA with their hyper inflated prices and silly discounts.

If you're on topcashback look at other breakdown options - The one I used from there gave me full cover, at home, onwards journey etc etc (excluding europe) after cashback (that paid quickly) for less than £40. And yes - I did have the need to call them out, and they were quick, efficient and friendly. Probably way quicker than either the AA or RAC would have been.
