Backdated PIP and CoL Payments

Hey there,
I'm in the process of applying for PIP, I started on 24th March and they received my form on the 21st April. It's been nearly two months since, I'm not concerned about when they'll do the telephone assessment but I am curious to know - if I get accepted for PIP, along with getting the standard back pay from March onwards, will I also receive the Cost of Living Disability Payments that I would have been eligible for previously?

The qualifying date for the £150 Disability CoL payment was 1st April 2023.
You had to be paid one of the qualifying benefits on that date, or later get it paid for that date.So if you get PIP backdated to before that date, so that you are then paid PIP for that date, then you will qualify.2 -
Newcad is correct. You'll get it if you get it backdated to when you applied (which you should if you are accepted)0

I have just received backdated PIP to 31 March, no CoL payment received yet, but I am hopeful

Good news about your PIP claim. You just squeeze in for the Cost Of Living Payment too - the qualifying date was 1 April 2023.I don't know how long to suggest you wait before chasing it up if a payment isn't forthcoming.
