I really hope so, it’s been a long battle! Guess I’ll just have to see if it drops of my credit report, and intervene with that process if necessary.

However... having now read your earlier thread - why did you start a new thread today? - I am not too sure we can call this a win... yet.

Suggest you report your post and ask MSE forum team to merge your two threads so that the complete picture is seen.

Ok I will do. I just thought the old thread was too long ago I guess, and my question was simply to get an interpretation of this letter irrespective of what had gone before.

The real risk now is that the Claimant discontinues their Claim and you are left severely out of pocket.

You haven't shown us the consent order, but if it was written by the Claimant it will have nothing in it about costs being reserved or any other way for you to get your money back.

    Expect a discontinuation shortly.

But it says 'by consent' so the court has merely ratified whatever you signed and agreed.  You will know the terms you consented to.  Not a surprise.

    We need both threads merged.

Ok I’ve reported and asked to merge. Regarding getting any money back, I am well aware that ship sailed long ago as was advised in the other thread. This is simply about removing the CCJ from my file.

Then the good news is, the consent order worked.  :)

Thanks, it appears so. I have just searched the registry trust for my case number and it shows no results so hopefully will see that trucks through to my credit file soon. Of course, I wish I had discovered the help of this forum sooner and might have been able to avoid parting with £267 and £108, but at least my financial future isn’t ruined. Well I’ll know for next time!

Credit ratings aren't dynamically updated, they're normally done once per month.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
