Alliance Parking PCN

Hi all, I am clearly becoming a serial offender..... On the day my Letter Before Claim dropped on the doormat from National Parking Enforcement Ltd for a "stopping offence" I also received a new PCN from Alliance Parking for last weeks holiday to Cornwall. I apparently had a 17 minute overstay in their car park, 14 minutes was from before I used the actual pay and display machine and 3 minutes from after my ticket officially ran out. I had no idea the clock was running from the second I entered the field I was parked in, I assumed that it was from when I actually made it to the front of the queue at the machine and it issued my ticket! We paid for 4 hours parking. School holidays so you can imagine the queues getting in and out of the actual parking area was a nightmare and one parking machine servicing dozens of drivers. Although we was packed up and ready to leave the car park in time we was stuck trying to get out but wasn't really concerned at the time so even let other cars filter out ahead of us. Am I just ignorant to all this or is this correct that they charge from the minute you enter the car park? Id understand it if it issued a ticket as you entered but never seen or heard of it at a pay and display machine. Now dreading more fines coming my way as sometimes I was literally circling car parks for 20 plus minutes looking for a space. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ignore them. There's no appeal.
IMHO and going by reviews, ALLIANCE PARKING come across as a particularly diabolical firm; aggressive, nasty ex-clampers.
Don't use car parks operated by people like this bunch:

http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2016/11/as-parking-gladstoned-again.html?m=1Also never circle private car parks waiting for spaces! You will ALWAYS get a PCN because most use ANPR. Never do this.
Park on-street, always. Or use Council car parks only, where this can't happen because Councils can't use ANPR for parking enforcement.
Ignore bouncy Kev. NO PAYING.
Come back if you get a court claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

after a weeks holiday in Cornwall and never used a parking app in my life found myself in Fowey old station yard car park having no change and struggled to download the app onto my phone after three attempts taking almost 15 minutes paid my £5.60 to just park for 5 hours parking, received my receipt and booking confirmation via text but never got to enter my registration trying to contact just park took forever and was not helpful just told that if I receive a PCN then just appeal giving them all my details.I have appealed and sent all proof of payments to Alliance its a day before my payment goes from £60 to a £100 then £170 do I wait the outcome because when you read the notice its claims that the ten minutes or more that we where at the machine trying to make payment is the time for which I am being charged.I have visited Fowey on a number of occasions I am disabled so walking into town is a no no,but its the last time I will ever visit this town again, the underhanded way in which they rob you with car park charges there was no provision to just use your card details .Its Scotland for me least you don't get robbed in the car parks,or in Wales Cornwalls loss.0

If the Government comes good in the draft Impact Assessment this month, that £70 add-on will be banned (as it was in 2022).
