Virus/Malware Scan App for Android Phone

I have a brand-new Samsung A54 which I'm setting up. Reviewing the apps to be transferred from the old phone I have both Malwarebytes Premium and BT's Virus Protect (rebadged Norton).
I'm minded to not bother with either, or if I do, not to have them in "always-scanning" mode to preserve resources, and just do a weekly scan.
Would you bother with either? I'm not sure that I would were it not for the fact that both application subscriptions are freebies.
