Rendering or making good

Hello
Neighbour has just built extension just inside their side of party wall.
Neighbour has just built extension just inside their side of party wall.
Couldn’t join our extension as they’ve pitched roof extension and we’ve old flat roof - however have filled voice by capping off which is fine.
Issue is their pitch roof runs higher than our flat roof so, when built, we’ll just be staring at grey breeze blocks from bedroom etc.
I asked builder if they’re be rendering same and he replied no as access difficult,
This will be fairly unsightly from our side so I was going to paint white but I just wondered if there is any onus on builder/neighbour to make good and render or pebble dash to follow appearance of rest of house?

No onus that I can think of.Why is access for rendering that difficult if painting it isn't?0

Thanks - think access issue is because they’d have to come onto our side to render/paint; but we’re happy with that as improves finish/view from our side. I asked if I could paint and builder seemed unbothered so then thought ‘shouldn’t they paint etc’.I think person who bought house is a bit of a property developer and may just be doing up to flip/make profit. As he doesn’t know us or want to keep-in with neighbours he isn’t too bothered on effect on us/maintaining good relations etc.
As our view is now compromised I wasn’t sure if they had to finish off to match rest of house etc. if not though we’ll paint it - just wasn’t sure on what their obligations are.0 -
Although inconsiderate, I am not aware of any obligation on them (other than moral) to make it look nice. You'd think they'd want it to be fully weatherproofed, but hey.I think all you can do is remind them they are welcome to come over to gain access to finish it off, but if they don't, I'd ask them if it's ok for you to paint it - and tell them what paint you'll use. Annoyingly, even in cases like this, you shouldn't touch their wall without their permission :-(2

If this required planning have a look at their application. We had to detail what the external walls would be (eg brick or block and render). This was in the application form and also shown in the elevation drawings.1
