Appleby horse fair

I am intending to visit for the first time on Sunday. 
I realise we will not be able to park easily in the village so in this situation we usually park at a pub, hotel or restaurant, have a meal then cycle to a village. 

So looking for recommendations for pub, restaurant, hotel within about 5 miles.

No idea but there was a story in the press yesterday about several pubs in Appleby closing their doors during the horse fair because, perhaps, of the possible clientele.
