Return Address in China!

Untoward

On 25 May I bought a pair of sneakers from Sophies Soles for £26.97. They took 13 days to arrive and were too large. There was no packing note. Their website says email them about how to return goods. Two days later I was told to return them to an address in China. This is obviously unacceptable. On looking at their Facebook page I see I am not the only person to whom this has happened. Advice please!

Stop buying from random sites you find on the internet without first do due diligence. There is no phone number for them and the address in SW London is a block of flats. All the telltale signs of a Far Eastern drop shipper.
How did you pay?2 -
Why is it unacceptable ? If you buy from a far-Eastern country then that is where returns go.1

Here's the link -

If I were you, I'd send them an email and a letter by post as well, outlining the problem and telling them you won't be paying postage to return goods to China.
You have the Consumer Rights Act 2015 on your side, see more information in the following link -

Make sure you tell them that you are entitled, by law, to return goods for any reason when they are bought online and that you bought from them - based in London - not a Chinese factory.
If there are any quibbles about the delay, just tell them that you did report the shoes were unsatisfactory earlier but were fobbed off.
I hope this is helpful and that you manage to get your money back. I'm sorry that some people on the forum are not very sympathetic - things like this happen to all of us at one time or another.
Finally - sorry about this! - please do think about reporting this company to Trading Standards - here's the link -

No more links, I promise! Good luck with it, I think it's well worth pursuing. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I have a feel this is one of these sites that pop up (registered a couple of months ago) that appear to follow same pattern...wrong/poor goods sent from China 100% bad reviews on Trustpilot for the same, will take lots of money then disappear...these types of sites often appear in the run up to Christmas but guess there is money to be made all year round.1
