Which Password Manager, and Android app

Guys,
I'm undecided which Password Manager I should go for, so, looking for views.
I currently use Last Pass, but only Chrome browser extension, not app. With all the hoo has Last Pass has released over the last few months/couple of years it seems its probably time to jump ship. Which is a shame, as I find it works well, and very MSE, it's tree!
Alternatives considered..
Nord Pass - paid for, unfortunately, bit seems decent. However, reviews in the Play Store suggested that the app isn't perfect.
Bitwarden - Free (for what I need), again, the app seems to have issues.
I've read up on more but these seem to come out ahead..
I was even thinking to have two vaults, one not/easily accessible via mobile, one easily so - essentially one for stuff that needs to be very secure and seldom used in a phone, and one for more everyday items - like this very forum for example.
Thoughts much appreciated. I mean, at one point I even considered going oldskool and using KeePass and storing the dB on my my one drive or something :0

I use Bitwarden on my mobile and both Bitwarden and LastPass on my PC. That way I can keep both up to date with any new passwords.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

How do you find the app for Bitwarden?
And curious why you use both on desktop? - For the reason I outlined? Or do you try to keep them in sync?0 -
I started using Bitwarden when Lastpass placed the restrictions on and I needed to get something for my phone,.
I kept LP on the PC while I tried out Bitwarden and just haven't ditched it and keep using it out of habit, No real reason for keeping it, I may log out of it now for a few days to wean me off it..
I have no complaints about Bitwarden and it functions perfectly well on both phone and PC.

I'll check it out then - perhaps those, giving bad reviews are doing something wrong or just have bad luck with the combination of phone/app etc. It certainly gets a good rating.
Shame about Lastpass, as if does tick thd boxes for me otherwise. Oh well!
Was tempted by Nord pass but paying for it didn't sit right lol0 -
Bitwarden works very well across Windows / MacOS / Android syncing across devices. On Windows / Mac I have both the full application installed and the browser extension so I can have the biometrics integration and ease of use. On Android it is the app. Just remember on the app you need to give it the right accessibility permissions to be able to read and write over apps. Without this it (or any password manager) will not work very well and be full of painful copy and pasting.
Not sure where you are reading your reviews but it is probably the most highly recommended password manager out there at the moment.
It is open source, so well scrutinised and for the majority of people the features you need will be free.0 -
It was just the recent reviews on the Play Store, all the review websites rate it very highly as you say.
Indeed, it's funny, originally I was against open source for this until I read into it further, and it makes total sense.
How is the android app secured? Biometrics too? 2fa?0 -
Android app certainly lets me use the finger print sensor on phone to get access0
-
Yep biometrics are enabled...

The Bitwarden is fine on iPhone, never had any trouble with it.
If you are willing to stretch your tech knowledge then you can host your own backend with VaultWarden and basically get all the Bitwarden features for free and peace of mind that you can keep it secure yourself and not risk BitWarden getting hacked.0 -

I suppose you would host it in something like One Drive or Google Drive to avoid having to consider backup? Or host locally and schedule a copy to there or something.
What benefit does that give you though vs standard (ie hosted by them).. And could you point the mobile app at that instance?
I'd be tempted, but if I don't feel there are extra features then perhaps it's not worth it.
Interesting though for sure. Cheers for the heads up.
I actually did read up on KeePass last night out of interest, I was surprised to see its still a contender and still has new releases. I remember being a bit stubborn moving from thay to Lastpass lol, dinosaur0
