UC and TP Question

I read someone on this forum and another forum some people said that if the LCWRA is added (which it will be with a mandatory reconsideration overruling the original LCW decision) at the start of the claim (transferring from ESA for example) the original £285 TP won't be completely eroded like it would if LCWRA was added later (but instead slowly reducing each April) so my friend is owed backdated money the difference between LCW and LCWRA since the start of his claim
Is that true? It must be as The Case Manager has put his backdated money into his bank already and it would have to be double checked

If Case Manager has released the underpayment, they will have updated the statements.
On the UC claim, go to the payments section and have a look at the statements.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -
For anyone interested.

Hi yes the statement is updated with the LCWRA element (it's about £200 more on each month)huckster said:If Case Manager has released the underpayment, they will have updated the statements.

does that mean the payments team have already sent the payment? No chance of them stopping it now?Thanks0 -
What does the journal message say ?
If you are living with your friend, do you need to report any change of circumstances on your claim ?

I don't understand why you started another new thread related to the exact same question. It does get very confusing when starting multiple threads with the same questions.FusionFury said:huckster said:If Case Manager has released the underpayment, they will have updated the statements.

yes that's what they said in his journal they sent it and should receive it on Monday and statement is updated to include LCWRA.Does that mean the payment is sent?
thanks0 -
Yes it would have been sent, to be received on Monday as stated.
As mentioned on the other thread. Your friend may have been overpaid, so UC may be back in contact in the future regarding an overpayments. The Case Manager should have checked with the transitional protection team, before dealing with the underpayment calculations. The comments I post are personal opinion. It appears to have been calculated correctly in the circumstances.
See this thread on the original post for an explantion of how it's been calculated and why: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80102115/#Comment_80102115
