For some reason, I can hear another channel faintly in the background on my telly and its really distracting and annoying. Ever sat next to someone on the bus or train thats listening to music on tinny headphones a little to loud? Its just like that!
Anyone have any idea why this might be happening or how I can fix it?

Terrestrial? freeview? sky?
Its possible its to do with the Scart cable connection like a freeview box to your pc. If there's interference with terrestrial you'll get that.
Try a different scart socket and a different scart cable if you have one.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Yes, that happens in our house, however after I'd muted the sound, I discovered it was coming from next door. (it's the way I tell 'em)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Virgin Media (cable). I've got one of them VBoxes. If I pause live TV, I can still hear the other channel, which makes me wonder if its the TV itself thats playing up?SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Take the aerial lead out the back of the Tele while it's paused.. is the sound still there?
Is it 100% coming from the TVs speakers (can't believe I'm asking that..)[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

That seems to have done the trick! I paused it, could still hear the sounds, pulled the aerial out... sounds gone. Put aerial back in, sound is still gone... at least its been gone for the last couple of minutes!
Many thanks Merciless! :jSIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0 -
No problem matey. If it starts again its definitely interference. If you're watching Virgin Media you don't need the aerial plugged in anyway. [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
