Last week (30.05.23) I purchased Parcelforce Worldwide Express 24 through Parcel2Go at a cost of almost £40 as I also insured the contents.  I was away for a few days so did not check tracking until Sunday 4 June and was really upset to find that the parcel had not been delivered and was sitting at a depot near where it was going.  I contacted Parcel2Go regarding this and they said they couldn't discuss it until it had been delivered! The parcel was finally delivered yesterday, 06.06.23, almost one week after it was supposed to be delivered.  My query was raised and they responded saying there was operational issues at the depot but my query was resolved as it had been delivered.  Clearly that was not my query - I wanted a refund of the postage for 24 hour delivery that took 6 days.  They said because I didn't buy their Delivery Guarantee I cannot claim a refund.  Surely this is incorrect?  I paid the postage advertised but didn't get the service.  I know my contract is with Parcel2Go as buying through them removes Parcelforce from the equation.  Can someone advise if it is correct that I cannot have a refund for a service that was not "delivered"?  Thank you.
