Low price items are appreciated, instead of throwing things away others may well appreciate the item.
I sold a locking wheel nut key for 99p. Ebay have taken 92p in fees. Ebay won't give a UK address, only a PO Box in Dublin. No complaints procedure, only that they will log the chat as a complaint and deal with it if they feel they should. They're killing ebay for us low item price sellers.

According to https://finalfeecalc.co.uk/ Ebay fees on 0.99p would be 0.43p
Can you itemise how they have taken 0.92p.0 -

If the fees significantly differed from the stated amount then definitely complain https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4822

They include p&p in their fee, item is just over the size for a large letter and so small parcel £3.50. I've filed a complaint , not that it'll get anywhere.

If it was something you were going to throw away anyway then it's probably not worth getting too excited about it.0 -
Without anymore information from the OP I cannot see how he has the basis for a complaint, more a case of seller not being aware of the fees for selling on the Ebay platform.0
