Old bank statements

previously held a personal bank account with the Clydesdale bank. It has since been closed and now it’s Virgin Money.

I am trying to obtain copy bank statements from 2011-2012 however I’m being told by the bank that the bank only hold these for 7 years.

Previously old account info was scanned onto microfiche and stored that way. I would have thought it would be stored somewhere at Headoffice…

What more I can do to trace this info as it involves a large sum of money.
