Travel insurance needed for medical care only

Hello I am looking for advice on travel insurance. I have general travel insurance including with my AMEX card (I purchased the flights using the card). Unfortunately the policy does not include cover for existing medical conditions. Are there any companies who will issue insurance for medical care only? TIA.

Its theoretically possible but have never seen such a policy... that said when you consider claims for cancellation due to medical issues or claims for illness overseas its well over 60% of all claim values.
Given a single trip policy for a fit and healthy person can be £15 of which 5% is tax, half of the remaining sales cost and under 40% of the remainder is the cost of the bit of the policy you are trying to avoid doubling up on. The cost of creating a specialist niche product is going to add more than the under £3 you are trying to avoid.
Buy a normal additional policy and then you have a choice of who to claim for depending on the event.1
