Online pre-registration is open from 5th June 2023 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) and closes for entries on 21st June 2023 at 12:00pm (“End Time”).

On-air segment of this competition will play out on-air from Mon 19th June until Friday 23rd June 2023 in KISS Breakfast between the hours of 07.00-11.00.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Sony ‘No Hard Feelings’ + KISS RADIO Competition" (On-Air Competition). 

These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to kissfmuk.com and tell us the following details:  1. Full name and contact details 2. A blurb about your summer dilemma/ drama and what kind of prize you think could help solve it, up to the value of £1,000  Entries will be judged on how entertaining, humorous and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the KISS production team, the production manager and an independent judge. Entries will be shortlisted out of all entries received, and those shortlisted will be called ahead of the competition segment being recorded.  If the chosen finalist is unavailable when we come to call them, a backup finalist will be chosen in their place and the original finalist may miss out on winning. There will be 1x winner a day from from 19th June – 23rdJune 2023, 5x winners total will be brought to air and awarded a prize.  Entrants will be shortlisted from Tuesday 13th June 2023 up until the close of pre-registration at 12:00pm on 21stJune 2023. Once a person has entered, their entry will be eligible to be selected for shortlisting at any point up until the close of the competition.  Before each competition round KISS will select a shortlist of entries, using the judging criteria above. On shortlisting, KISS will contact the entrants and we will require participants to coherently explain their entry and discuss the story submitted. The entry must match the entry that was entered online and the judging criteria above. The entrant may then be selected to go to the next phase of the competition and to go to air.  On being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win once being told they are the winner* by the presenter on air. 2.Entry Platforms and Costs	Online at kissfmuk.com or planetradio.co.uk/kiss  Online entry is free of charge.
3. DATES	Start Date and End Date.  Online Pre-registration: from 05/06/2023 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 21/06/2023 at 12:00pm (End Date). The on-air part of this competition will take place each day from 19/06/2023 until 23/06/2023, between 7am to 11am. The finalists will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.   The winner of the competition will be announced on-air during each competition round. Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid. Please note KISS Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for an event such as a public holiday.   Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced on on-air after each competition round.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents. If under 18 years of age, prize will be sent to a parent or legal guardian aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter. Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, they or anyone living at the winning address will not be eligible to win this competition. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. 5. THE PRIZE	On-air Prizes   There will be 5x prize winners each day from 19th – 23rdJune 2023 from 7am-11am each day. (5x winners in total) The ‘participant’ will win 1x cash prize to put towards the desired prize specified at the time of entry (maximum prize value of £1,000). Limitations apply.  All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.   If the requested prize cannot be sourced, KISS will liaise with the winner to organise a similar prize of the same or higher value.   *Please note that Bauer Media will aim to fulfil cash prizes within 28 days but there may be delays due to unforeseen circumstances.   The ‘Prize’ is provided by Sony Entertainment (the “Prize Provider”). Bauer Media not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.   *Proof of ID and Address will need to be provided to Bauer Media. Once the winners have passed the winners checks, the winners name, phone number, email and address, will the prize be fulfilled.  Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. Prize is subject to availability The prize excludes anything not expressly listed above Once confirmed, any changes including but not limited to name changes, date changes and route changes will be at the prize winner’s expense.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

 DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS.  INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 MISCELLANEOUS.

a)       Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

b)       One entry per person.

c)        If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

d)       The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

e)       We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

f)         You are responsible for all costs of entry.

g)     You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

h)     Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

i)      As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition.

 

We may end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
