Getting Money back
I’ve recently seen on my credit score that my account with EON which was closed in 2021, due to moving suppliers, is still active and in credit by £54!
I’ve emailed and called EON to try and claim this back but have been told that the account has been closed and as it was with EON core and not EON next they can’t help me!
What I don’t understand is if it has been closed then why is it showing as active and in credit and why have I never been refunded?
Has anyone ever been in this situation and has managed to get their money back?
Thanks.

What do you mean when you say you saw the account details on your "credit score"?
When you left Eon your account was closed and a final bill presumably was produced. Did that happen and show you in credit?

Make a complaint to Eon Next and/or write to Eon postal address getting posting proof.Gem_H86 said:I’ve recently seen on my credit score that my account with EON which was closed in 2021, due to moving suppliers, is still active and in credit by £54!I’ve emailed and called EON to try and claim this back but have been told that the account has been closed and as it was with EON core and not EON next they can’t help me!What I don’t understand is if it has been closed then why is it showing as active and in credit and why have I never been refunded?Has anyone ever been in this situation and has managed to get their money back? Thanks.

It’s showing on my credit report as an active account which should have closed down 2 years ago. They did produce a final bill but at that time I had to pay money to them, so I’m confused as to why they have me as in credit and didn’t refund me when the account was supposedly closed.0 -
Is it possible that everything is in order with the account, they don't owe you anything and the problem is that they haven't updated the credit reference correctly?

It couldn’t be that simple - could it?[Deleted User] said:Is it possible that everything is in order with the account, they don't owe you anything and the problem is that they haven't updated the credit reference correctly?
