Using a boom sprayer for kurtail?

I'm going to buy some kurtail to try and tackle my horsetail situation on my driveway.

Application says by boom sprayer - but all these ones I've looked at are pretty expensive. 

Is a normal pressure sprayer for weeds etc ok? Or can anyone recommend a reasonably priced boom sprayer that would be ok?

I’ve used it with a normal sprayer and it worked fine.
