Sharesave to ISA

Hi

Could someone let me know how the shares are valued when transferred. Is it based on the actual price on transfer, the option price or actual price less option price

Thanks

I believe you need to change your savings in the sharesave scheme into actual shares which would then be transferred. So buying at your option price assuming that's lower than the current one.  Otherwise you might as well cash out.

I was looking at doing a similar transfer into an ISA but realised that there's no fees to leave shares in the work scheme and there would be where I had planned to transfer them.  So I'm leaving them for now.

Sorry to jump on this thread but thought it would be better than starting a new one on a similar subject..

Does anyone know which S&S ISA providers allow transfers from a sharesave scheme - are some more straightforward to deal with that others in this area based on people's experience?

Well II certainly do. My sharesave, when it matures in November, should be worth multiples of my ISA limit and based on my discussions with them, they'll take it all in and allocate any excess to my GIA.

Sounds nice and straightforward and means I don't have to deal with any valuations or manual allocation calculations to ensure I get the max £20k in...
