Following our use of Tell Us Once, DVLA asked for my Dad's licence to be returned, but we heard literally nothing from the passport office. Like @BooJewels I'm happy to keep his passport in my drawer for sentimental reasons.0

When my husband died the registrar did the Tell it Once as part of the registration process. She took his driving licence and cut off the corner before handing it back. He didn't have a passportLost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Many thanks everyone for your rapid and helpful replies and advice, I'll keep and file away the Driving Licence and Passport with the other papers now, knowing I've done all I need to. Thanks again!0

I did Tell Us Once 7 years ago, I didn't send either item back for cancelling. If I was asked to, or supposed to, I wouldn't have anyway. Haven't been 'chased'.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0
