Barclays Premier Joint Account - Qualification Criteria

Barclay says that you need £75K salary paid into the account. Does this mean that each of the account holders should have at least £75K salary or combined?... I understand that this is probably a silly question, but I am I right in thinking this should be £75K after all deductions, right? (i.e. pension contributions, employer benefits, etc)

You're eligible for Premier service if you have a salary of £75k gross or have £100k invested with Barclays.
At one point they threatened a service charge of £20/month if you didn't pay in £3300/month or £40k/year. All talk of that fee has gone away, but you can assume that this is the level at which they are happy maintaining your account as a Premier customer.
As far as a joint account goes, at least one account holder is expected to meet the Premier eligibility requirements. If one person has a £75k+ salary, you're good. If your combined salaries are £75k, I'm not sure you'll meet the requirements. Anecdotally they don't seem to be particularly tight when it comes to upgrades from standard Barclays accounts, but again that might have been tied in with this £20/month fee they were planning but never implemented.

Our combined salaries are somewhat over £100K, but neither is over £75K...
We should be eligible for NatWest premier, I suppose.
