You can get a bit more by being referred by someone with an Amex or alternatively TopCashback.

Don't use an Amex unless you're paying in GBP either, it's very unlikely to be worth it once you factor in the punitive FX rate. Consider using a zero FX card (Barclaycard Rewards is the only one which provides cashback and has no FX internationally, but don't make a bee line for it since the amounts of cashback are tiddly).
