Are Glow-worm boilers re badged Vaillant?

We know that Vaillant own Glow-worm but are the boilers the same internally? We have been told that Glow-worm boilers are the same internally as Vaillant boilers with different covers, are made in the same factory but cost less for essentially the same boiler.

Specifically these two boilers.

Vaillant EcoFIT Pure 625 System Condensing Boiler ERP

Glow-Worm Energy 25kw System Condensing Boiler ERP

The Glow-worm is £300 cheaper.

Is there a good reason to choose the Vaillant over the cheaper Glow-worm?

We would rather pay a higher price if we get better quality, reliability and longevity.

We are also considering Worcester Bosch but would like to confine this thread to the one question.

Thanks

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

They are the same group but as you know the Glow-worm is cheaper.

There is a reason for that so no they are similar not the same.

Whilst they do share a lot of the same parts you need to check all the parts.

One of the biggest differences is the heat exchanger, Valliant use a premium stainless steel one where as the Glow-worn uses an aluminium one, there are usually other differences but the heat exchanger is the important one.

I cant however fault the Glow-Worm boilers now though or the aluminium heat exchangers.. I service a lot of them and ever since Valliant took them over they have been consistently reliable compared to the old days when they were trash. Its a decent warranty too, just remember to get it serviced every year and its good for a long time

For a £300 difference its worth considering the Glow=worm, if £300 doesn't bother you then it's the Valiant.

    Bris, thanks for your reply.

I am still confused as the Vaillant EcoFIT brochure says it has an aluminium heat exchanger.

    Link.
The ecoFIT pure’s powerful aluminum heat exchanger which offers outstanding performance and low energy consumption for any home.

My instincts are to go for the Vaillant as I have read more positive things about Vaillant than Glow-worm.
