Anyone got any recommendations for a 15 year old girl and her Auntie to go to in Spain or Portugal in June? Preferably somewhere busy, bit of shopping etc

you would be best posting in the main holiday board - this one is for reporting bargains0

Barcelona might offer a suitable mix of culture and beach; can’t comment on the shopping. Mind you it may be very hot in June0

Without knowing what "etc" includes it's a bit difficult to give definitive recommendations, but Barcelona is a good suggestion, the shopping is excellent. If they want somewhere that's not quite so large and sprawling as Barcelona then I'd recommend Malaga. One other thing to remember is that a letter of consent to take a child abroad will be required.0

Malaga connects along the Costa del Sol to several popular resorts heading west by a modern rail network. There is a stop for the airport, so it's convenient for arrivals and departures - and there is a shopping complex at Playa Major when there is a need for retail thereapy, there is a dedicated station on the line. The three main resorts are busy, we had a nice week in Fuengirola - recommend the short bus trip to the village of Mijas up in the foothills, a delightful and popular visitor attraction.

I agree. There are plenty of resorts all the way to Fuengirola and from there you can get the bus to Marbella. Although not fashionable, Torremolinos is quite nice with lots of winding shopping streets and a nice beach. Easy to reach by bus or train and 10 minutes from Malaga Airport.NoodleDoodleMan said:Malaga connects along the Costa del Sol to several popular resorts heading west by a modern rail network. There is a stop for the airport, so it's convenient for arrivals and departures - and there is a shopping complex at Playa Major when there is a need for retail thereapy, there is a dedicated station on the line. The three main resorts are busy, we had a nice week in Fuengirola - recommend the short bus trip to the village of Mijas up in the foothills, a delightful and popular visitor attraction.0
