Smart Meters and EV charging
I have been trying to find out if the cheep rate time band on an EV tariff changes between GMT and BST.
I'm on Octopus Go tariff and my cheep rate is 12.30 to 04.30 in the morning. When the hour goes forward for BST do I need to change my charging times on my charger or does the Smart Meter also change to BST.
It could mean that 25% of my expected cheep rate could actually be at the higher rate.
Octopus Energy couldn't answer the question.

Youngest had problems with his Smart Meter when it did not change. Reported it and when they actually got around to fitting a new meter they refunded the overcharges plus paid him compensation so the answer is the meter will recognise BST/GMT and change .- he is with Octopus

While the meter will change automatically with BST, the clocks on your EV and charger may not. So you'll have to make sure you check those the next day and change to BST.

I have been on Go for over 2 years never had a problem with the clocks changing.0

Octopus Go shifts with the clocks so it's always 00:30 to 04:30. As long as your charge point and/or EV are set to the correct time after the clocks change then it's fine. Be careful on the shift to BST because you only get 3 hours cheap rate.
