I have seen the same as twice in one week which is a ridiculous one with free cash from cash points but if people click they may find their account details being harvested - the issue is I reported it the first time but it still re appeared

Although people are saying "nothing new" in the above comments, and I 100% agree, it is worth a reminder so I hope a lot of people read this post.SJC36910 said:I have seen the same as twice in one week which is a ridiculous one with free cash from cash points but if people click they may find their account details being harvested - the issue is I reported it the first time but it still re appeared
Lots of people fall for phishing/scams etc daily and bringing awareness of this is essential to prevent it.
It is easily done, I'm a senior IT tech with in-depth knowledge of this as I spend much of my work time managing systems that secure an enterprise network yet I fell for a phishing test generated by my own IT security department.0 -
I followed one of the annoying scam posts a few days ago, one facebooker was thanking another for "that website", "it really helped me out, I got 100 free spins and I made my months rent money in a few minutes"Then a third facebooker asks "what website?" and a link is posted to some gambling site. The gambling site offers 100 free spins alright, and £10 free credit if you open an account. But if you read the T&Cs you cannot cash out any winnings until you wager £500 of your own money, so it is impossible to be "helped out" and "make the rent money" on the free spins. Then there is the "£1000 cash for the first person to spot the glaringly obvious thing in this picture/solve this trivial riddle"and the "I'm looking for volunteers to test this dodgy weight loss supplement" that actually wants customers to buy itand the "please forward this post about the cute lost dog/pensioner/baby from (your town)" when the picture shows a US mail box and a fire hydrant.Never click on anything except a post by someone you personally know.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
