First- Prime Financial Svcs Share Scam

Just making you aware that a company based in New York (website registered only in April) may be contacting people about their shares in particular British Energy Group. They trade as First Prime Financial Services

it’s obviously a scam but they are asking interested parties to sign a non disclosure agreement which is designed to prevent people from telling their friends and raising suspicion.

    Which, "particular British energy group"?
  • I've had them phone me twice today offering to buy my shares at £125 in Lloyds banking group

Is that per share? Given they're changing hands at moment for 45.12p (pence) each that's insane! (And obviously a scam, but that goes without saying.)

Would love to hear what they have to say if someone says "you can just download trading212 (or whatever free trading app people use nowadays) and buy LLOY for 45p?"

It does look cheap to be fair, P/E of 6.27 looks good value but I'm not expecting any fireworks. If I was a holder I'd probably sit on it "just in case" though.

  • I've been approached by these guys in the past week also to buy my Vodafone shares for between $17 & $20 each - they're currently worth about 72p! Sent an NDA and mentioned there would be an insurance policy to pay but not to worry I would only have to pay a small percentage of the premium! Nope, that's not happening. Time to block their number....

They've probably based their numbers on the price that the ADRs, representing 10 LSE shares, trade for on the Nasdaq. They're currently trading for about $9.50, but even so, that's crazy.

Amusing that they claim a seller should pay an insurance premium for something or other but of course they prey on the unwary
