Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dary underfoot, but forecast is for dry but cloudy during the day. Not very warm either..
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was pasta in a creamy tomato sauce with chicken and side of mushrooms. Tonight I'm not sure what we're eating but will find something.
Normal chores to do and back to work on Monday so will enjoy some time off.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's sunny here, whoo hoo! Yesterday it didn't get above 15 degrees all day. The house was so cold because we havent had the heating on for quite a while, so it was put on last night, lovely.Coxy, apologies for not mentioning you yesterday, it sounds like you had a distressing time with your sil at the weekend - I hope the situation is improving and your throat is feeling better.TA glad to read that your sil is receiving treatment, hope she is improving.Izzy, I'm pleased your Dh is home. Not a lot going on here, I wasn't out yesterday but, like Coxy, I finished an ironing mountain.I'll go out today, there's a small charity bag to go, and I need one or two things.Thinking of the Snoozers who don't seem to be doing very well at all, and our other poorlies.Take care folks.13

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. It's a warm morning, the cloud is lifting teasing us with a hint of sunshine. Yesterday it only came out well after lunchtime. I got two loads of washing out on the line, there was only a hint of a breeze to help with drying. The aqua-cycling class was very good, practically perfect for me. As well as working the legs there was a lot of resistance work for the arms which was interesting, I'm fully expecting sore muscles tomorrow or Saturday. I really enjoyed it so will go back. The only bad part is getting dressed afterwards, the changing rooms are always so hot that everything sticks. Small price to pay. This morning the gardener is coming, she wants to scarify the second half of the back lawn. There's still a mystery problem with my mower (and the new one too) which we'll need to explore, my plan is to do a wee recording of it to send off to the company. There'll also be the usual three way chat with SIL and friend in Oz. I'm still coughing intermittently which is more annoying than anything else. I've also got trapped water in one ear which hasn't popped yet so I'll need to get the hairdryer onto it. 😀 And then the monthly banking spreadsheet to update, it's throwing up a linking worksheet formula error which I just can't find, another annoying thing! Maybe I'll do it out in the garden.
I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Friday to all.10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
SIL was weighed and had bloods taken yesterday then sent home. Psych assessment still to be booked. She's to come back on Tuesday. I will message her today as neither of them have been in touch, so we're getting news via ILs.
I had a coughing fit on the train home from work yesterday. Thought I was either going to vomit or wet myself. Talk about embarrassing. Other passengers were offering water and boiled sweets but I managed to get it under control with lost of nose blowing, coughing and lozenges.
Dinner tonight is grilled chilli salmon with some green veg. I'm popping to the garden centre at lunchtime to get a gift for DSis birthday so will pick up some veg from the farm shop there. I also need to take some cake down to my friend who's mum died recently. There's washing to do, oh and WFH of course!!
Sorry little one didn't enjoy the boat trip @dp1
Take it steady @IzzyBee - you're meant to be on annual leave!
I have memories of school swimming pool changing rooms @Gers where you had to get dry, dressed and back to class, all sticky and yuck - put me right off swimming!
Hugs to all the poorlies including the Snoozer family and @TravellingAbuela's SIL. Shout out to the missing and irregular posters - let us know you're doing okay please?
Have a good day all.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. After deserting us for a day or two the sun is back with us and forecast to remain shining.
Friday Tidy day with a dust and vac up and down. Such excitement. Maybe I will get back out reading in the garden when I have finished.
Finally the family have got a date for BFF's funeral. They are taking such a long time here just now for some reason. A month is the average waiting time to keep families in limbo. It's not until 23rd June. Is it this long in other areas?
DP1 your boat trip brought back memories of a barge cruise I had from Skipton with eldest DGD when she was about 3. I think she must have thought we were going in a speed boat as when we were slowly chugging along, with the other passengers relaxing and admiring the scenery, she piped up "Grandma when do we start going fast" It caused a few laughs.
Well I had better get moving. Have a nice day if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, recovering, worried or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning , thanks nmlcSunny outside at the mo, still that cool wind though.Didn't post yesterday as I ended up having DGS, not that I minded. We ended up meeting DB2 & SIL & family on the park, SIL goes in for an op on her wrist this morning so wanted to see her before that. They had a picnic with them so DGS had an ice cream & I got a coffee from the cafe .Also bumped into DGS other grandma with his (half) brother near the bouncy castle so he went on there for a bit while we chatted, not seen her for a while. We also saw one of his footie friends so they played for a bit, and then they had a game of hide and seek, so a pleasant couple of hours spent. We made gingerbread men when we got back but they hadn't cooled enough when DS picked him up so he collected them on his way back to his Mums after football training- sent extra for her, SD and littlies. She sent a message - said they were delicious and better than the ones from a local bakery
He is coming again later this morning.
Had a tidy round so it's not too bad. Tea will be something quick from yesterdays delivery.Shame the mower still isn't working Gers.TA, that does seem a long time to waitCoxy hope the cough improves soon.Izzy glad DH is home but don't wear yourself out.Bella not sure when you go on hol but have a good time.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here atm but the sun is due out later, I have a wash on the go which can be hung on the line once it’s finished.
Im off to get my nails done today which is always a lovely experience my nail lady has become a good friend and we put the world to rights when I am there.
DD is doing a sleep in at work and OH wants a takeaway curry for dinner so I will have a chicken breast stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon and some veg.
Will take the dogs out later and maybe have a little nana nap on the sofa 😃
Have good days all and take care xx11 -

Morning all..dull and dreary..I'm off to Jekkas Herb farm today for a shufti round and get myself some new herb seeds, and to see what weird and wonderful things there are there this time . i last went about fifteen, twenty? years ago when there was nothing there for any visitors, no caff, no nothing so it will be interesting this time to see what's changed. And I was in time with the green bin yesterday, phew. Got falafel [obviously] made ready with home made hummus and tzatziki as well, so supper is sorted. Never thought of putting sumac on top of hummus before, it's lovely. I did not know there were so many kinds of meatballs or veggie balls...I'm sensing a theme that will go on for a long time.Gers, good to hear you've found an excercise solution you like. Izzy, a cup of tea every once in a while is sufficient for him isn't it? no need for the running up and down..
Scarlet, it has got nippy again hasn't it? Coxy, hope you don't have another one, sounds scary! bella, enjoy the holiday prep, and do what i never do, write a list!
Rosy, homemade usually tumps store bought, good job there...Ruby, enjoy having your nails done...Take care all including the missing...
