Voluntary class 2 NI

I am self employed and have another 6 years class 2 NI to pay before I retire.
I understand that if I were to earn under £6725 I can pay voluntary class 2 NI.
What about if I have no self employed earnings for that tax year, am I still able to pay voluntary class 2 NI?

Thanks for the reply.
I may take a year or 2 off while I move house and take a holiday (not had one in 9 years).
So there would be no self employed earnings during that time.
Could I still make class 2 NI contributions?0 -
