Have I made a mistake going Bankrupt?

Do you need the internet at home to do your job or for education ie: a college course, OU etc.?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

I do, but it's already included in my media package (virgin), but I believe the cost is going up for me in april, do I budget for that now or inform the OR when the increases occur or does he factor stuff like that in?0

Its hard to factor in every price rise (and god there are so many of them) so thats why we suggest you add things such as holidays etc. That way you can forego the holiday and pay the price rise. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

I can't see them increasing your media allowance, but if that includes internet for studying, make sure you tell them so. I was allowed to keep my broadband because I need it for work-related study - my OR initially said work should be paying at least part of the cost, but when I told him the course (ECDL) he OK'd it because it's known to be offered by employers, can apparently help your career prospects, & staff are expected to provide their own internet access for it.

What exactly is a 'media package'? I think I would re-word it. Does it include some kind of television package?

Cheers, yeh, I need broadband for study and for work related information. I will tell the OR this.

Just out of interest, I spoke to my OR briefly when I first found out about the IPA's and thinking back now he seemed quite reasonable. Do they (within reason of course) have your best intersts at heart? U know a fresh start and all that? - Just the impression I've got form the posts from the last couple of days, that they're not that bad?0 -
It does , tv, landline, mobile and broadband (good deal really) apart from when the digital tv crashes and the internets being choked!fiveyearplan wrote: »What exactly is a 'media package'? I think I would re-word it. Does it include some kind of television package?
Internet and mobile heading do you think?0 -
It's not that they have your interests at heart as such, as they are supposed to be making sure they get as much for the creditor from the debtor as they can. It's more that going BR is supposed to be a fresh start, & if you're honest & play fair with them, they'll play fair with you. My one was a bit slow responding to e-mails, but other than that he was fine. I think most people find them approachable.Cheers, yeh, I need broadband for study and for work related information. "Internet & mobile" is definitely better than "media".
