Morning A day of being just a little bit behind everything beckons, you know those days when you think there's something you should be dong but you can't remember what and so you feel a bit out of sorts with everything...I had weird dreams last night too, all about being in France and trying to get the luggage to the airport shed, havign a covid test and the little princess had to have her bloods done too, I missed dinner at the canteen we were at and had to steal a pie to eat...Oh I could go on...So anyway, making falafel today, found a youtube channel called Refika's Kitchen, I like her, she's very enthusiastic and obviously loves food,[this also means I must cook some of her other recipes because they too look fab], looking forward to that, and potentially some garden activity. I just put the green bin out but I'm not sure I've already missed them. Lucky it's not full.

Camelot, glad to see your keyboard lives loves again! xx Scarlet, I had to google Beamish, what  great idea and thing to go visit, I feel a road trip beckons...Izzy, at least she got there in the end, not that it mattered, you weren't going to be changing your mind! Enjoy some time away from there, hope husband continues to improve..TA, good to hear she's improving too, sorry about your freezer though, they do take it upon themselves to shuffle things when you're not looking. Gers, sounds very cool, hope you enjoy Ruby, I had to google that too, also what a great story..I wonder about the origins of folk tales sometimes, how come we all have similar ones? dp1, good luck with the trip, hope she enjoys it! nanny, I've done that before accidentally with toilet paper hanging off the hook or a box of washing powder on top of the wheels..Mortifying...Take care all today, hope the restless get sleep, the unwell throw away their crutches and enjoy the sunshine if you have it...

Hi all,
I'm in the office today - cough and sore throat continue to bug me but I'm soldiering on lol!
Beamish sounds great - unfortunately nowhere near me or where we are holidaying this year. Will add to list of must dos for the future.
Good for you taking time off @IzzyBee and glad to hear DH's knee op has proved okay so far
SIL has her psych assessment today. I feel there are two choices: they admit her and give her 24 hr care or she is treated in the community, BIL takes time off and they have daily psych visits. BIL didn't like me telling him what to do apparently. Oh well !
Dinner tonight is pork Schezuan with noodles courtesy of DH. Think he's off to the gym for the first time in 10+ years.
Managed to clear the ironing pile last night - hurrah!

Well little one loved the first 10 minutes of our boat trip going slowly down towards the sea - then we got to the sea and the waves got...well wavier...and she started screaming....
I cuddled her in and she calmed down...but she kept saying  'Granny I really don't like this'. She was ok when we turned round and went down the river a bit...we could have actually gone on a different trip where the boat just goes on the river. and she probably would have been ok....but I wanted her to see some dolphins. Did we see dolphins? No we didn't... just one solitary seal...
We went for lunch afterwards....she said to DD 'Mummy will you please not let granny take me on a boat again.' I'm having a day off being granny tomorrow!
