As someone else suggested get a friend to phone up about the property and see what they say.
It really isn't that difficult0 -
Also remind them that you won't be doing anything such as instructing solicitors until it is off the marketAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0

As per the original post, the solicitor has already been instructed.diggingdude said:Also remind them that you won't be doing anything such as instructing solicitors until it is off the market

The only leverage you have is the threat of pulling out. But unless you're willing to do that, it's an empty threat. So, uncomfortable as you might be, are you uncomfortable enough to walk away?
If not, then frankly, you're going to have to suck it up - this is merely one of the stresses associated with house buying and selling, so you may as well get used to it now...0 -
When mine sold 7 weeks ago the EA marked it on RightMove etc, SSTC immediately upon accepted sellers offer 5 pm on Friday evening. For Sale board marked 7am next morning. I let EA leave advert up for a week and then requested it taken of Rightmove which he did immediately.
I now have just had an offer accepted on a property and told it would be taken off the market. 4 days later it is still advertised for sale. I contacted EA and said until it is marked SSTC I have instructed my solicitor to do nothing and just sit on it( this is true) It was marked as SSTC within minutes.3
