Return query

Hi,

Just looking for some advice on this.  Purchased a bag from an eBay seller, when it arrived it was the wrong bag, same brand and collection, but different style and colour, and much cheaper in price.

Opened a case, seller apologised and said they had sent return label, I couldn’t find the label, so rang eBay, who said seller had only sent address and not a label, and they would email them to explain, I also went back to seller and explained.  Day later, seller asked me to return at my cost, and they would refund the postage cost once they had it back, as they couldn’t work out how to send a label,  I politely requested that they contact eBay to sort this out.  I did this as I was not confident they would refund the postage.

Few hours later they asked for my PayPal detail to send postage cost to me, I sent this to them.  Over a day later I still hadn’t heard anything, so asked when they would send the money, they then sent it a few mins later.

I’ve just printed the label, and have just gone to add the tracking details to eBay, clicked dispatch and it came up with seller has received your return, and should refund you by 2nd June, looking into this, it seems the seller has added the tracking details from when they sent the bag to me as the return details.

I have sent the seller the tracking number through eBay messages, and told them what they have done with the return, the bag will be collected from me tomorrow.  Am I ok to wait until the return tracking shows as received or do I need to ask eBay to step in on the 2nd June ?

I don’t mind waiting until they actually have the bag, but also don’t want to loose the refund due to the sellers error.

The worse part is that this is a business seller !!
