Forgot to pay drop-off at Heathrow

DS forgot to pay the drop-off charge when Dad's taxi took him and a friend to the airport for her flight a week ago.
He phoned the company and they've said there's nothing they can do.
Is there anything that can be done, or do we wait for the invoice to arrive in the post?

Who did you phone? Was the driver's identity revealed? If so, basic mistake. At LHR it is APCOA so just appeal saying that as their PCN is not PoFA compliant due to non-relevant land and there is no legal requirement to identify the driver, they can't hold the keeper liable and they should cancel now or waste their money and pay for POPLA code and lose there.2

Wait for the postal PCN (as long as the logbook address is up to date?) then win easily by using the "non-PoFA innit / get stuffed" type appeal as seen in every APCOA thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

heathrow drop off is advertised as a paid in advance only, they have free drop off or pick up options aswell.
Some of the newer cameras that capture the driver face are so good, they can match the drivers details via you know who.
Sorry to hear about dropping off family at an airport,

Some of the newer cameras that capture the driver face are so good, they can match the drivers details via you know whoCan't use it. Their KADOE contract is based around ANPR capture of VRM data. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

@prowla, you can disregard the ravings of @RonRamsgate. ANPR cannot be used for anything but what it says on the tin, no matter how highly defined anyone's face is in the resulting picture: Automatic Number Plate Recognition. This is not a criminal forensic case.
You will be hard-pressed to find where you pay for your use of a drop-off zone in advance.2 -
Automatic number plate harvesting is also available Umm more accurate harvesting is available as infrastructure moves on.
Why would any port operator use old capture techniques When better are available. Better cash flow between all parties involved.

The "free drop off option" is a bit misleading it's hardly free considering you have to pay their long stay parking fee to access it.
