Cost of Living Payment Query

Hello All,
I received a UC payment on the 7th march 23, for the assessment period of 1st Feb - 28th Feb 23, so should I have received  payment? My understanding was, if you received  uc award any where between 25th / Jan - 25th Feb ?

Yes your understanding is correct. You would be paid based on your previous assessment ending between 25th Jan and 25th Feb, presume your last period ended 31st Jan?

That assessment period will not have qualified you. If you were entitled to a payment for your AP between 1st Jan and 31st Jan with payment on 7th Feb would be the qualifying period for you. If there was no entitlement to a payment, you won’t be entitled to the CoL payment. 

The qualifying criteria is you must have been entitled to a payment for an AP that ended between 26th Jan and 25th Feb.

Yes 1st - 31st of Jan 23.

Were you entitled to a payment of UC for that assessment period? You would have received that payment on 7th Feb. If you did then you can report a missed payment here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#report-a-missing-301-cost-of-living-payment-for-a-low-income-benefit-or-tax-credits
