EDF debt paying online
So EDF have told us we are £172 in debt , how, I do not know . We have a smart meter and it’s classed as pay as you go ,we top up via the EDF app as and when we need to . They recently sent us a message via the app to tell us we are in £172 in debt with no real explanation as to why ,just that they have set up a payment plan to pay back £5 a week for the next 6 months or so.
Can anyone explain to me why we have this debt ?
Many thanks

Ask them, see what they say, and we can help you understand their answer.1 -
CSI_Yorkshire , I was hoping someone might have had the same problem/experience that might be able to help before I speak to them !0

But we don't even know what the problem is!
Changed reading? Tariff correction? Catch-up bill? Old usage? Previous occupant?
Even if someone arrived and said "oh yes, I had a debt too and it was from X", how would you know if it applied to you if you don't have any information to compare it with?0
