Hi everyone,
I work in the Republic of Ireland but live in the UK.
I have been receiving money into a Revolut account in euros.
did an exchange today of around 9k euro to pounds and paid 40 quid for the pleasure.
are there any alternatives to Revolut that would enable me to avoid such charges and send money from it to a savings account for free?
many thanks

If your £9k was converted at the mid-market rate then £40 is not such an unreasonable fee.Starling Bank would charge you £36 (0.4%).There's Wise, Fineco Bank UK, and HSBC Global Money Account in combination with HSBC EUR Currency Account to receive funds.I often exchange in the other direction using Monese GBP and EUR accounts, mid-market rate with zero fee weekdays (1% weekend fee).Evolution, not revolution0
