CCJ Against a tradesman

Hi
I hired a garden landscaper last August, and originally he was meant to complete the work in 8 weeks!.
The work is not fully completed and in January this year he liquidated his company. He has since been back to complete the work and the money left to pay is more than the amount of work required to finish.
But the issue is, whilst he was painting a fence he has got paint over the PVC Decking, and is not coming back to clean it. I tried and it is extremely difficult.
The decking could be hard to clean now and he may not come back.
Could i take him to a court CCJ to recover money for repairing / replacing the decking?

Who did you contract with? The company? Did you agree a new contract for the remaining work with him personally?
You say you haven't finished paying for the work?
What was the discussion of doing work post the company going bust?0 -

Obtaining a judgement is only a first step, getting him to pay would require further action possibly, and if he can`t pay, its all for nothing.
Can`t you just sand and re-stain your decking, much simpler.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
