Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, forecast is for mainly dry day. Got a line of washing to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Meals yesterday were egg, bacon and sausage rolls for late brekkie, then various meals of rice and chicken, hot new potatoes, pork pie, salad, boiled egg and coleslaw or greek salald. Tonight will be LO roast - pork, mash, yorkshires, veg and gravy.
Back to work today, wait to see how things have been left for me to sort - hoping not too bad, as think I'm working on my own.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work will be ok.
It's a grey start here, dry though. Yesterday was a lovely day, the wind had a bit of an edge to it though. We went for a walk, it was nice, seems ages since we did that.
The car is going in to have new tyre fitted this morning, but the place is only a few streets away, so it's handy.
That's it for today apart from a bit of shopping.
Hope everyone has a good day today, thoughts to our poorly and sad people.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope you have a good day at work.
It's to be quite warm here today so i shall leave the back bedroom window blinds down as it gets incredibly warm up there. Must put the summer quilt on as I was roasting last night.
Lots of tidying up in the garden yesterday after watching the little one for a few hours. Watered the allotment but didn't go shopping so really have to go tonight!
Back to work for me, last of the 4 day weeks until we finish but that's only 4 weeks away.
Hope you can all have a good day, take care. XX11 -

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's currently cloudy here but the forecast is for sun by 8.00 a.m. That's very precise!
I seem to be getting alternating good and bad news just now. I was shocked yesterday to get a call from my DB telling me my SIL is in hospital after a stroke. She always seemed to be the fittest one amongst us, no bad habits and very careful over what she eats, which makes it more of a shock. It has affected her mobility the worst and her speech isn't affected. We can only hope for a good recovery.
I was going to address my skunk look last night as the white roots are taking over again but when I looked for the box I didn't have one. I always keep one in reserve so I have slipped up this time. So it's a quick trip into town this morning and I will colour it tonight.
Have a good day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. I hope the SNOOZERS are on the mend. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning folks. It's already bright and sunny outside so I have high hopes for sun. Yesterday was so lovely, positively hot. My physio session was a face to face chat to determine next steps so I'm feeling good about it. I'm looking at buying a massage gun to use on my neck and shoulders. More exercises / different ones should make a difference. I'm also seriously contemplating going back in the pool. This morning I've got a Teams meeting with my bank, all very 'modern'. I suppose they want to sell me some of their products though this lady ain't for buying. 😀 Then I'll go out visiting, sit in a friend's garden and sip a cold fruity drink.Izzy - best of luck to your DH for his knee op. He'll be up and hobbling around in no time.Scarlet - I hope that you get some sunshine today.Iris - happy haircut.Camelot - ah, summer quilt time! I may follow suit.Let's all bathe in the sunshine. Happy Tuesday to all.11

Morning all
Dry and bright here but still with that sharp wind if only it would drop it would be quite warm, yesterday was the same and we got quite cold sitting out.
We went for another long cycle ride yesterday 12.5 miles we did stop for a snack half way and OH had a beer and I had a small Prosecco 😃
Three people coming today and I will see if they want to do the long walk from my house and up through some local woods, it’s 5 miles all together so I will see if they can manage it, the most we have done is three miles so I hope they can as it will be so good for us all.
I cooked a gammon yesterday which we will have for dinner tonight with some salad and new potatoes for OH, I will take a couple of slices for my lunch too.
TA so sorry to hear about your SIL I hope she makes a good recovery xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
I didn't even start my jobs yesterday as DD texted to ask if I wanted to go to Beamish with them. We had a lovely day out - it was busy but not too bad other than standing in a queue for the sweet shop and for some lunch. All we could get was pasties as the sandwiches were sold out - the pasties were delicious. On the way back we stopped at a pub for some tea, which was also really nice.
So this morning I'm going into town to get my hair cut and then later this afternoon I'm going for a cuppa at my friends house - she's baby sitting her little grandson so it will be good to see him too.
I'll fit in the hoovering etc at some point I expect.
TA thanks for reminding me I need to buy some hair dye when I'm in town.
Right I'd better get a move on - hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Hello all, I got lots done in the garden yesterday and it's looking a lot neater, however the front hedge still needs a haircut, there's more weeding to do and some shrubs to re- shape now. The waving honeysuckle was hiding 4 huge yellow rose flowers which are too beautiful to hide and my Mrs Bradshaw needed staking. The lavender that I thought I had lost during the winter has sprung to life too.
Today I'll potter around upstairs putting things away and then make a shopping list as I haven't been shopping since our hols and my half empty freezer is making me twitchy. Later this afternoon Mr Fix It has another covid jab appointment so I'll go with him and wait in the car. Chicken curry and rice for tea to use up the last of the chicken.
TA I'm sending healing vibes for your SIL and hopes for a full recovery.
Camelot only 4 weeks till the end of school ? This year seems to be flying by.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.

Morning all..Wales was good, I did a bit of weeding in her garden, chopped down a massively overtaking bramble, she works full time and commutes some days [CS job] and is understandably knakcered after it so doesn't really have time to do some stuff. We dsicovered she has bats in the roof too this time...I got back quite late Sunday night in a panic because my tyre lights had come on about ten miles from home and I'd only put air in them last week, so cue an early visit to the petrol station to do it again because we were visiting a friend house sitting about an hour away [big posh house, she was making stifado] for the day, got there in one piece, got back late from there, another friend visiting OH so I made some tapas type stuff for the firned really, we were still quite full..OH went to a local beer festival and saw a load of Morris dancers hich I was quite jealous about but I did get to see the videos
Today there is a man coming to measure for the windows and I have some gardening, potting on, transplanting etc to do. Managed to come away with some wild garlic yesterday, they have woods full of the stuff so i took a very small bit to see if it'll take next to the other very small bit I have growing. Got washing to do today too and I may cut the bits of grass I'm cutting. She does have wifi but I only had my phone with me and I can't type on that thing without losing what I've already typed so I don't bother
Izzy, good luck to your husband, hope you enjoy some time off when he's out! dp1, glad she enjoyed herself, sounded fantastic. TA, sorry to hear about your sil, we're all playing the lottery healthwise even if some of us are fit [not me] . Gers, sounds like you're on the up and up with the physio and sorting of problems...Ruby, getting back in teh cycling game! nanny, gorgeous colour on those! I love the tangerine ones or the newer pink ish ones. Perhaps you ought to think about a man who can? just for mowing and hedges, none of the fun stuff of course...and fancy your dad being nice! Not getting the charabanc out just yet then...snoozer, glad you're better but boo to the rib pain. Might be costochondritis..Have a lovely day all, take care and shout to the unwell...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11
