Seen that this card has a welcome offer of 50,000 avois points if I apply for card before 30 May.
Does anybody know whether I can convert the Avios points then to Nectar points and how easy it is to do this?

Yes, you can convert the Avios to Nectar points with a Executive club account, it's very easy.0

Easy peasy. You can even set up autoconvert to do this for you (slowly) on the BA Exec Club website.
Transfers take 2 weeks(ish) to hit your Nectar account, and you're limited to a monthly amount (IIRC it's more than 50k tho).0
