Well I got the Experian one through and there was much more on there, although my current & only cc with HSBC still isn't there. It also says I'm not on the electoral roll at my current address although I know I sent the form off several months ago, so need to chase that up with the council before applying for a new cc.

Bit peeved that both the RBS and NatWest ccs I was refused for, show up as 2 searches each, probably because with both of them I rang to ask why I had been refused and had to provide more information, they must have run the search again both times, which is annoying.

I think this is pretty unfair of Equifax as the two entries for credit cards it had were ones from five years ago when i missed a couple of payments, but no mention of my almost perfect repayments in the last four years!

At least these will be taken off next year. Keep an eye on it because they can only stay on for 6 years.

I never thought current accounts were on a credit report. I've just checked mine and they are not there. I've never seen them show up whenever I've checked my credit report.

i'm a bit confused as to what should and shouldn't be on the credit file. we got my husband's report from experian, and almost nothing was on there. he's had an HSBC bank account and credit card for almost 10 years. it wasn't on there. nor were any of his other accounts (savings) our our joint account. pretty much the only thing that was on there was his mobile contract and a credit check by Halifax.

it didn't look right, so we went to talk to the manager of our local HSBC branch. he clearly had never seen a credit report before, but he insisted that the reason why none of the HSBC stuff was there was because they hadn't done a credit check in the last 6 months. that doesn't sound right.

can someone please tell me for sure what should be on the credit report? (HSBC use experian, btw)

Lots of banks will only report the actual account not the credit cards/overdraft that go with it.

Do you have an overdraft facility? I thought that's why mine is on there. Although, I have a £2k 0% overdraft, and the credit file says "0 at £0, limit £0".
