Changing Gas/Electric Supplier for a better rate ( currently with e-on)

I am currently with e-on and looking to change gas and electric supplier. Which supplier would offer better rates than what I'm paying now ?

You're on the standard variable rate.  Every suppliers' version of this is identical (except Octopus who sometimes have about 4% discount on the standing charge only).

I believe the only cheaper option would be Octopus as their standing charge is a couple of pence cheaper than anyone else.  There may be some cheaper fixes coming soon but at the moment there are no real savings available.

There is talk of a more competitive market from July.

When you do seek new suppliers you will need  an annual consumption which is quoted on your bills.
