How can Natwest be this bad?

The app simply states I haven't been using it for long enough, keep using it and then at some indeterminate point in the future you'll be able to register your face...[Deleted User] said:
Can you elaborate please?Fighter1986 said:
That may be the case, but that doesn't justify the app not working correctly with biometrics in a timely manner, nor does it justify the slackjaw approach of the telephone advisor I seemingly dragged out of bed.Deleted_User said:Sounds like the local post is bad. Dealt with RBS a number of times and never had issues. I do with my post though. Can't register for biometric approval on their app despite having used the app a lot over the last two weeks.Do you get an error?
I see all these types through the prism of Barclays, who I recently dealt with and are the worst bank in the UK.
It has now, finally, after three weeks let me register my biometrics but I've already started my transfer back to my old bank, due to complete in a couple of days.
And still no card readers have arrived.
I understand Royal Mail are in dire straits at the moment, but that isn't something Natwest or I can control. What Natwest can control however, is who they use to deliver their mail and whether they have a fallback option for exceptional cases whereby equipment essential to the customer can be sent to the branch for the customer to collect or sent via a different postal service, plenty of which exist in the UK.
Natwest's "Yeah sucks to be you" approach hasn't won them a customer here.0 -
Pahahaha this just gets better.
A card reader finally turns up in the post - it doesn't work. Screen is garbled.
You couldn't write this. Oh well, account is closed now anyway and I've transferred to TSB.
I've sent another letter to Natwest explaining I had every intention of staying long term if they'd actually furnished me with the ability to use the account properly within a reasonable timeframe.
Ho hum. So long and thanks for all the fish!0
