Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, forecast is for mainly dry day. Got a line of washing to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was bacon, egg, saute new potatoes, mushrooms and beans.. Not sure what we'll be having tonight but shopping this morning so will find something then.
Chores to do today.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning - thanks for starting us off nmlc. It's a bright start to the day, yesterday was almost hot. I pottered in the back garden, did a couple of trips into town and almost caught up with Taskmaster. My SIL and I had our first chat since returning from the wedding so exchanged views about Seoul. She stayed on a bit longer to spend time with her brother as they live so far apart. He's the family 'accident' and so much younger than she is. 😀This morning I have my final invigilation session then I'm going to visit friends who live about 15 miles away, it'll be a lovely drive. My new lawnmower will probably be delivered whilst I'm out, I'll put it together tomorrow, it'll be good to get the grass cut. One hall is bald as a coot after being scarified and the other is looking a bit hippyish.I hope that everyone gets some sunshine today. Happy Friday to all.11

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's fine and sunny here, but it does get chilly in the evenings, I sat under my heated throw last night, They are the best things out, I love mine, Dh has one too.Change of plan today, we are now delivering the cushion covers to Dil's mum today, meeting her new dog, we'll stay there for a while, then all going over to ds/dil's for tea.DP1 Japan sounds fascinating, I was charmed by the music in the toilets to cover any noises!I'll ring a friend later to wish her happy birthday. Unfortunately she has gout, her sister told me yesterday, very painful apparently. There's 4 family birthdays on Sunday, and my Dd's on Tuesday, it's all about birthdays here at the end of May.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today, and thoughts to our poorlies.Take care folks.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC for kicking off.
I got back from my little jaunt to the caravan last night and I couldn't have booked better weather. Day after day of continuous sunshine. DD says I look as though I have had a week in the Med! I was very lazy, did lots of reading in the sunshine and apart from bits of pottering about not much else! Sparkle seemed to enjoy it too! She obviously remembers going last year so no hiding away under beds this time. Watching all the wildlife kept her entertained and at one point there was a face off between her and a squirrel through the patio door!
Sadly I got the news I have been dreading on Wednesday night. BFF had passed away, surrounded by her family and lots of love. Her DIL says it was a peaceful and painfree passing which is a blessing. It will take a while to sink in that after 70 years as friends she's no longer around. We met on our first day at junior school and remained friends ever since.
I have a pile of washing and bedding to sort through but it will soon dry on the line once washed and then I must water all the pots. A few are looking past redemption and dried up after all the sunshine. And the dratted weeds are back again and taking over the front garden. That garden is the bane of my life!
It's my dear son's birthday today - 48. It doesn't seem long since he was a baby. He is popping in to collect his card and present on his way home after work.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and enjoy the sunshine. I hope the holiday makers are having this lovely weather. xx

Dry and sunny here but with a strong wind, I have a wash on the go which can be hung on the line later.
I am off for my electrolysis appointment this morning and then the whole day is mine, I will walk the dogs later and possibly have a nana nap as I am going through a bad sleep phase atm I was still awake at 4 this morning 💤🥱
OH has a pizza for dinner and I will have a chicken breast with some grilled halloumi and salad.
TA I am so sorry to hear about your dear friend I am so glad the end was peaceful and pain free for her, sending much love ❤️Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd let you know we're still around. I've not been posting because we're spending most of our time in the bedroom away from the family so there is no news.
Apart from the fact that Esben brought home the nursery owl toy to look after for the weekend and it has disappeared. I think Esben has probably put it somewhere to keep it safe and can't remember.
TA, I am so sorry for your loss.

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Sorry to hear the news of your BFF @TravellingAbuela x I'm glad her passing was peaceful and and that she was surrounded by love x
I have a funeral to attend this afternoon - Mum of a friend. I've made a carrot cake for the wake, so will drop it down to the church later. Lovely sunny day here which is a relief as it's a private burial first.
Dinner tonight is leftover Mexican chicken from the freezer. I portioned it up and there's 2 portions so no cooking for us later. We are going to a friends' 50th drinks tonight - I am designated driver as have FC tomorrow morning and want to get some errands done in the town like eyebrow shaping and nails (if I can find somewhere with a gap). I never have my nails done!
There's washing to do so I'll get that on the line today too.
Did anyone catch Maryland? The IoM looks stunning - will add to my bucket list. My DDad lives in Cyprus and it is indeed beautiful.
Have a good day all

Morning! Sunny! Today I have blood letting and hoping to fit in a walk in haircut and then Wales to see my sister who I haven't seen since Christmas [There, I said the C word ] . I can finally give the blanket to my cousin, the books and various bits and pieces to her and harangue her some more about getting her roof done. And maybe get rid of some clothing from my parents. And a probably visit to some garden centers and maybe sort her garden out a bit too. We'll see what actually happens...Probably a lot fo sitting around doing nothing and eatingTA, my condolences, I'm glad she had a peaceful and pain free end, it's all anyone can ask for really, and you'll miss her. Ruby, have a nice nap..Izzy, enjoy mentally planning your trip!
Scarlet, enjoy your day out..Gers, happy new garden hoover
Have fun today all, hugs for the unwell...
